Charles Wilson, better known as the “Crown Prince of Soul” is a versatile Soul singer who knows how to sing the Blues and Retro Soul. His live performances are a real crowd pleaser that packs a punch and entertains a diverse audience.
Charles has been nominated for two W.C. Handy Awards as well as earned the title as “The Crown Prince of Soul”
Charles grew up in Chicago and began performing at the tender age of seven. He started singing as a teenager in Chicago area nightclubs where his stardom began. He is also the nephew of the late great Blues legend, Little Milton.
Charles has worked alongside and shared stages with many of the long time greats that include B.B. King, James Brown, Albert King, Lonnie Brooks, O.V. Wright, Otis Clay, Junior Walker and the All Stars, Lou Rawls, Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, and last but not least, his late great uncle – Little Milton, just to name a few.
Some the notable venues he has played in the United States include the Chicago Blues Festival, King Biscuit Blues Festival and the Waterfront Blues Festival. Overseas appearances include the Piazza Blues Festival and the Lugano Blues Festival.
